Wolverhampton Wanderers put an end to their eight-match winless run in the Premier League with a hard-fought victory over Arsenal on Thursday. The match was marred by two red cards for the Gunners, as Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette were sent off.
Wolves took the lead in the first half through Neto, but Arsenal equalized through Gabriel. However, the visitors regained the advantage shortly before halftime through Pedro Neto. The match was then delayed for 10 minutes after Raul Jimenez suffered a clash of heads and had to be taken to the hospital.
Arsenal were reduced to nine men in the second half when both Saka and Lacazette received second yellow cards. Despite their numerical advantage, Wolves were unable to extend their lead and had to settle for a 2-1 win.
The victory sees Wolves move up to sixth in the Premier League table, while Arsenal remain in ninth place.
