Star Reveals Health Struggle in New Interview
Actress Daisy Ridley has opened up about her health, revealing that she was recently diagnosed with Graves disease, a thyroid autoimmune condition.
In an interview with Women’s Health magazine, the Star Wars actress described her experience with the condition, which can cause a variety of symptoms including anxiety, weight loss, and fatigue.
"I had no idea what was going on," Ridley said. "I thought I was just really stressed out. But then I started to have other symptoms, like my heart was racing all the time and I was losing weight without trying."
After seeking medical help, Ridley was diagnosed with Graves disease and has since been undergoing treatment. She said that the condition has been a "rollercoaster," but she is grateful for the support she has received from her family and friends.
"It's been a really difficult time," Ridley said. "But I'm lucky to have such an amazing support system. My family and friends have been there for me every step of the way."
