Dallas Mavericks 2023-24 Roster Preview

Point Guards

The Mavericks entered the 2023-24 season with a veteran-laden backcourt. Led by 34-year-old Mike Conley Jr., who averaged 15.7 points and 6.5 assists per game last season, the Mavericks also have Spencer Dinwiddie returning as the primary ball-handler. Dinwiddie averaged 17.1 points and 5.1 assists per game in 2022-23.

Shooting Guards

Tim Hardaway Jr. is the only returning shooting guard on the roster from last season. The 29-year-old averaged 14.2 points per game in 2022-23. Reggie Bullock, who was acquired from the Charlotte Hornets in the offseason, is expected to start alongside Hardaway.

Power Forwards

The Mavericks have a young and athletic group of power forwards led by Dorian Finney-Smith. The 29-year-old averaged 11.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game last season. Josh Green, who is entering his fourth season, is expected to take on a bigger role this year. Maxi Kleber, who missed most of last season with a torn ACL, is expected to return to the lineup.
