Two Held After Two-Day Siege at £1.5m Norfolk Home
Two People Arrested
Two individuals were apprehended after a two-day siege at a £1.5 million Norfolk home, bringing to a close a large-scale police manhunt for a suspected gunman. The incident, which began on Tuesday morning, saw heavily armed officers cordon off the property in the village of North Wootton.
Police Negotiators Involved
Specialist police negotiators were brought in to communicate with the occupants of the house, and after lengthy discussions, two people, a man and a woman, exited the property and were taken into custody.
It is understood that the man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, while the woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. Detective Superintendent Paul Durham, who is leading the investigation, said: "This was a complex and challenging incident, and I want to thank the officers involved for their professionalism and dedication.

Residents Relieved
Local residents have expressed relief that the siege has ended peacefully. One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "It's been a very worrying time for the community, and we're just glad that it's over.
"We're very grateful to the police for their hard work in resolving the situation safely."
